Poca High students and staff wore yellow and/or gold on Friday, March 10 in support of Keagan Gross, a freshman student at PHS who has been diagnosed with epithelioid sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Yellow ribbons are for all types of sarcoma, and Gold ribbons are for childhood cancer.
Keagan has been surrounded by his family, friends, teammates and classmates because No Dot Fights Alone. In his first year as a Poca High Dot, Keagan has been a part of both the football and wrestling teams.
On Thursday, Keegan received a police and fire escort through the town of Poca as he was cheered on along the way by Poca Elementary, Middle, and High as well as Rock Branch Elementary students. We all wish Keagan a successful treatment and can't wait to have him back home among his fellow Dots.
